Our system of collecting, grading and testing British wool adds value by providing a high quality, consistent product to customers. A product we should all be proud of.

Our marketing activities help to create sustainable demand for British wool through a two-pronged approach:

What happens to your wool?

Wool from our members is graded at one of our depots. Individual clips are amalgamated to create commercial graded lots for sale by auction, which ensures a regular supply of large weights of wool of uniform type and quality for the international textile industry.

Here’s a few points to remember when sending your wool to us:

Wool should be delivered to British Wool in properly labelled wool sheets. These sheets will be provided by your local depot or collection site before the new wool season.
